Q: Are
the pest control treatments that will be performed safe for my family and pets?
A: Yes. We mean it when we say “Always the Least
Toxic” materials used. All of our products are registered with the Environmental Protection Agency and the State of
Connecticut, and depending on the particular pest being treated are labeled for use in areas while occupied by people.
Q: How long will I have to wait to schedule an appointment?
A: Everyone at KRIT-X prides themselves in fast response times. Most appointments
are scheduled in 1 – 2 days; also we work around our customer’s schedules instead of customers working around
ours.
Q: Are the pest control services guaranteed?
A: All of our services are guaranteed in writing. Depending on the type of pest
and method of treatment, guarantee periods can range anywhere from 30 days to 5 years.
Q: Can I trust the sales/service
technician coming out to my home or business?
A: Besides being a family owned and operated Pest Control Company, all employees are subject to a pre employment
background check. KRIT-X technicians are fully trained and licensed through the State of Connecticut, Department of Environmental
Protection Agency. Every employee must also attend continuous training programs to insure up to date knowledge of common pests
and registered pesticides.
Q: Are termites really a major concern in the State of Connecticut?
A: Each year over 2 million buildings are invaded by termites, causing millions
of dollars in damage annually. It doesn’t matter where you live, your home or business can be a target for termites.
Even buildings and houses on concrete slabs are threatened by termites finding their way through small cracks. Professional
termite pest control is recommended if you notice termites around the house or building. Termites are so clever and efficient
that NO efforts at termite-proof construction methods have worked out completely successful. Cold weather offers no protection
as termites are found as far north as Canada and other cold places.
Q: How do I tell termites
from ants?
A:
It is often difficult to determine the difference between termites and ants. Termites have 2 pairs of wings (front and back)
and are of almost equal length. Ants also have 2 pairs of wings but the fore wings are much larger than the hind wings. Also
termites have straight antennae while ants have elbowed antennae. Although it can happen ants generally do not swarm at the
same time as termites.
Q: When I call your company am I going to be pressured into a long term
contract?

are there any other insects that are covered as well?

charge. Included pest are commonly carpenter ants, pavement ants, spiders, bees, wasps, silverfish, millipedes,
and even mice.
